Cengiz Ünder has officially completed a season-long loan move from AS Roma to Leicester City. The young winger arrives ready to take the Premier League by storm after making his name in the Serie A with Roma. The Turkish international should add that extra bit of flare in the Leicester attack alongside the likes of Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez.
Should he perform to the standards expected, we may even see Ünder make a permanent move at the end of the season.

Ünder a Much Needed Source of Creativity for Leicester
Towards the back end of last season, Leicester City struggled to find the source of creativity needed to take them to the glory of Champions League qualification. Jamie Vardy’s goals dried up, luckily not enough to prevent the winning of the Golden Boot, and the Foxes ultimately failed in their quest for Champions League football.
The arrival of Ünder should prevent a repeat of the disappointing situation from last season. His creativity should prove to be a crucial difference-maker in the reaching of certain targets for Brendan Rodgers’ side. The signing, though only on loan, for now, should prove to be one of the smartest of the summer window.
What Was Said?
After putting pen to paper, Ünder told the club website: “I feel very good because my best friend plays for Leicester City,” Cengiz said. “I am very happy to be able to play with Çağlar and I always watched Leicester’s games because of him.
“I know all the players, their strengths and capabilities. I can’t wait to go to Leicester and start training.
“We had a dream when we were kids to play in Europe together. That dream is now coming true with Leicester. I am so happy for this and I hope everything will be very good.”
