Doncaster Rovers have signed Tyreece John-Jules on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old makes the temporary move from Arsenal‘s youth system.

What Has Tyreece John-Jules Done So Far?
John-Jules is yet to make a senior Arsenal appearance, however, has been included on the bench on occasion for the North-London club.
He has not signed in time to feature in tonight’s EFL Trophy fixture against Bradford City. He scored on his only appearance in that competition for Arsenal U21s last season and came up with five-goal involvements in four appearances the season before.
After sitting on the bench for a Premier League game against Chelsea last December, he made the move to Lincoln City on loan. Making seven appearances for the club before the season came to an early end, scoring the one goal, against Blackpool.
John-Jules was also positioned on the bench for this season’s curtain-raiser as Arsenal overcame Liverpool on penalties in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium.
Standing at six feet tall, Tyreece John-Jules has been capped by England at U16, U17, U18 & U19 level. He has scored 11 goals in 20 appearances combined at those levels of international football.
He has scored 35 goals in his 68 appearances for Arsenal’s U18s and U23s sides.
Prospects at Doncaster Rovers
Doncaster Rovers are a club that is not afraid to give youngsters an opportunity, especially since Darren Moore’s appointment as manager.
Arsenal know this more than most, having sent John-Jules’ teammate Ben Sheaf to the Keepmoat for the 2019/20 season. Sheaf has since moved up a level to the Championship with Coventry City.
Moore trusts the younger players and they often reward him for doing so, with great development made. The continued success is only going to attract more promising talent for temporary spells in Doncaster.
Doncaster promote from within too. Louis Jones, 21, has been promoted to the first-team for the season ahead. The goalkeeper is set to start tonight’s game against Bradford City.
Doncaster Rovers’ Season So Far
Of course, unusually, there haven’t been many competitive fixtures so far. However, Doncaster have had a promising start to their preparation. Winning in high-scoring friendlies against Scunthorpe United and Bradford City, holding Championship Derby County to a 0-0 draw, and then dismantling Manchester United‘s U23 side 5-0.
Doncaster have also begun their competitive campaign, pushing Blackburn Rovers all the way in a 3-2 loss in the Carabao Cup at Ewood Park.
Tyreece John-Jules could make his debut against MK Dons in Doncaster’s League One opener this weekend.
Third Loan Signing
John-Jules is the third player to join Doncaster Rovers on loan in this transfer window. He joins Stoke City‘s promising England U20 goalkeeper Josef Bursik and Brighton & Hove Albion‘s Taylor Richards at the club.
Doncaster have also signed Jason Lokilo, Ed Williams, and Cameron John to permanent deals. John, a former loanee, who enjoyed his stay so much that he reportedly turned down a Championship club to return.
