REPORT: Ben White Nearing New Brighton & Hove Albion Deal

Ben White Brighton

After securing promotion with Leeds United whilst on loan last season, Ben White returned to Brighton & Hove Albion with a Championship medal to boast. Many believed a return to Marcelo Bielsa’s side could have been on the cards this summer.

Graham Potter, however, had over ideas and it set to offer the young centre-back a new deal, according to Andy Naylor of The Athletic. The new deal should put an end to any speculation regarding Ben White this summer as he looks to impress in his debut Premier League season.

Ben White Set to Be Offered New Deal

Graham Potter’s Team Slowly Coming Together

When Graham Potter arrived at the Amex last season to take the reigns at Brighton, many doubted he could even keep them in the top flight. Yet, one year later, and Brighton have just endured a fairly comfortable campaign, playing some impressive football along the way, too.

Now, heading into his second season, the former Swansea manager has already brought in the experienced Adam Lallana alongside the likes of Joël Veltman this summer. The new arrivals, alongside the reported new deal for Ben White, should help to propel Brighton into the top half this season.

Time for Ben White to Make His Mark in the Premier League

Ben White is one of the most impressive young defenders in England. Last season, with Bielsa playing the role of teacher, he particularly excelled when asked to play the demanding Leeds way.

Whether it be with Leeds or Brighton, he was always destined to play in the Premier League. And now that he has reached the so-called dreamland, the current Brighton man has the opportunity to make his mark.

It will certainly be interesting to see where Brighton end up this season with so many promising players within their ranks.
