Newly-promoted Leeds United are looking to make waves in the Premier League, and they’ve certainly started making waves in the transfer market. Having been linked with a number of high-profile players, Valencia have now confirmed their agreement for the sale of Rodrigo Moreno to Leeds United.

Throughout his six years at Valencia, the 29-year-old was not always the first-choice striker but he racked up 59 goals and 41 assists in 220 games, a dependable output for the Spanish side.
His most notable season was in 2017/18, when he notched 16 goals in the league alone, along with seven assists. He never failed to provide his side with goalscoring opportunities and was efficient as a scorer as well as a creator.
Rodrigo now leaves Valencia after a successful six-year spell, and will surely be looking forward to kicking on in the Premier League.

Premier League Experience
Although it’s often overlooked in regards to Rodrigo, the Spaniard has actually played in England’s top tier before. After joining Benfica from Real Madrid‘s youth academy, he was sent out on loan to Bolton Wanderers for one season.
As a 19-year-old, he featured in 17 games, getting just the one goal, before he was shipped back to Portugal. However, he got a taste of what Premier League football is like, and he may have fond memories as he returns for a second spell.
He takes the experience he got as a Bolton player with him to Leeds, who will likely be facing a similar survival task. Bolton finished 14th, comfortably midtable in that 2010/11 season, and 10 years later he will look to will his side to a similarly comfortable fate.
Rodrigo will be one of the key attackers of this Leeds side, and he will have to hit the ground running at his new club in order to give his new fans something to cheer about.
