REPORT: Roma set To Confirm Pedro Deal

Pedro

After seeing out his Chelsea contract, Pedro is set to be officially unveiled as a Roma player. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spaniard has landed in Rome, signed the contract until June 2023, and the deal will be made official soon.

As deals go, we may not see a more risk-free one this summer. Pedro will cost Roma nothing in transfer fees while bringing in bags of experience to bolster the Italian side’s squad; the deal is a no brainer as far as they are concerned.

Roma Set to Announce Pedro Deal

One Last Club for Pedro

Pedro’s career, starting at Barcelona, has been as spectacular as one can hope for. The Spaniard has played alongside arguable the best to ever play the game in Lionel Messi, scored in a Champions League final, won the Premier League and the La Liga title. Trophies and spectacular moments have followed Pedro from Sunny Spain all the way to West London throughout his career.

Now, the 33-year-old will look to complete a fitting farewell at Roma, potentially the last club of his career. When in Rome, Pedro will be hoping to light up Italy in a similar fashion to how he started his Chelsea career. Should he reach anywhere near his best form in Italy, expect Roma to push for a Champions League place once more.

Roma Looking for Improvement Next Season

Following a disappointing 5th place finish last season, Roma will be desperate for improvement. Should they fail to reach the Champions League once more this season, financially, they may struggle. Covid-19 would have hit them badly, but failing to qualify for the Champions League would have also done significant damage.

With the arrival of Pedro adding much-needed depth and experience to their squad, however, Roman should be more than capable of reaching the biggest stage of them all once again.
