Brighton Duo Sign Long Term Extensions
A Busy Summer For Brighton
Despite many clubs suffering from the financial implications of COVID-19, Brighton have excelled in the transfer window so far. The Seagulls have already secured the services of Premier League and Champions League winner Adam Lallana alongside experienced Dutch defender Joel Veltman.
Now, to top things off, the contract extensions of both Conolly and Alzate have been complete to make for an impressive start to the summer for Brighton.
Their business so far certainly lays down a marker to the rest of the Premier League that Brighton will no longer be a team fighting for survival, but, instead, much more.
Connolly and Alzate: Key For the Present and the Future
Now that the contract extensions are complete, both Aaron Connolly and Steven Alzate will look to become key players in both the present and future plans of Brighton. Aaron Connolly, in particular, will be hoping to build on his seven goals last season, and mould himself into the main man at the Amex.
Steven Alzate, too, will be keen to learn from new signing Adam Lallana, and further secure a place in Graham Potters’ midfield; the Columbian made an impressive 19 Premier League appearances last season despite being just 21 years old.
The future looks bright for Brighton, who will be desperate to pull away from the constant threat of relegation and into a solid mid-table position next season.
