With the promotion spots from League Two completed, supporters must now wait until the 2020-21 season gets underway for football to return. While supporters may not be allowed in stadiums for a while, while you wait, why not test your knowledge of League Two stadiums?
Quiz: How Well Do You Know the Stadiums in League Two?
From Salford City to Colchester United
League Two is full of varied stadiums, each filled with enough history to fill plenty of books.
Whether it be newly developed stands or even relocations, football stadiums are always something admired by supporters.
League Two is lucky to be graced by several clubs packed full of history.
Clubs vary from Salford City, whose rapid rise through the divisions has seemingly stagnated in the fourth tier; to the one-time FA Cup winners of Bradford City in Yorkshire.
Who’s Coming In and Going Out?
Next season will see Tranmere Rovers, Southend United and Bolton Wanderers drop down into League Two.
Rovers will feel rather harshly treated by the EFL after their campaign was curtailed with a points-per-game (PPG) system.
It meant the Super White Army must endure a season in League Two having been relegated by just 0.04 points.
On the decision to end the season using a PPG table, EFL chair Rick Parry said: “Whilst it has always remained the board’s position to play the remainder of the season where possible, the decision reached at today’s meeting follows a full and considered consultation period with our member clubs.
“The board has endeavoured to listen to all views and alternative approaches but understands that the decisions taken will not be met with universal satisfaction from all clubs.
“Today’s outcome ensures that the League and its clubs remains as faithful as possible to the previously agreed Regulations and that there is consistency in the approach adopted across the EFL in all divisions if required.”
Southend United and Bolton Wanderers, meanwhile, will have little to complain about after a dire season.
League Two will lose away trips to Plymouth Argyle and Crewe Alexandra as they won promotion to the third tier.
Swindon Town also head to League One after being named champions.
