Nottingham Forest fans are bitterly disappointed in dropping two points against Derby County in the East Midlands derby.
Nottingham Forest Fans Fury Over Late Draw With Derby County
Chris Martin Levels Scores at the Death
Joe Lolley opened the scoring for Forest after just 12 minutes with a trademark left-footed finish; the right-winger cut inside against the defenders and bent a low shot beyond Ben Hamer.
Both sides came into the tie with a 100 per cent record since football’s restart, and the two teams’ up-turn in form was evident with chances on offer for both.
Lewis Grabban missed good opportunities while Nuno da Costa struck the post as Forest came close to a second goal.
Derby County improved during the second half, especially with the introduction of Martyn Waghorn.
Jaden Bogle hammered a shot marginally wide shortly after the hour-mark; Chris Martin turned well under pressure but was unable to beat Brice Samba.
But the drama came in stoppage time when Waghorn was shown a straight red card for a heavy challenge on Ryan Yates.
And, just moments later, the Rams levelled.
A cheap freekick conceded by Joe Worrall allowed Wayne Rooney to deliver the ball into the box; Samba failed to deal with the delivery properly and Martin was on-hand to bundle the ball across the line in the seventh minute of added time.
What the Fans Have to Say
Bookmakers had a draw between the two sides the most likely outcome, but that does not make up for the heartache felt by Forest fans.
The Reds had led for the majority of the game and should have converted more of their chances in the final third of the pitch.
Here’s what Forest fans had to say at full-time
It's disappointing, but 8 points from the 12 we had is still brilliant. Stopped the sheep and still secure for playoffs. Try look on the brightside lads#NFFC

Today shouldn't take away from Worrall the fantastic season he's had. Nobody can call into doubt the fantastic progress he's made this season but there's a lesson to be learned today I'm afraid #NFFC

Disappointing to chuck points away again in injury time BUT we’re still 7 points clear in play offs spots. We just need to sort out these silly mistakes late on #NFFC #COYR
