Fantasy Premier League Game week 32+ is just a day away as the plethora of football action continues. With the top two sides facing each other and many other tricky fixtures, game week 32+ looks a tough one to navigate. Let’s find out how best to tackle this game week.
Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 32+ Picks
Quick Tips
With quick turnarounds, rotation is inevitable. This game week is even trickier with the FA Cup quarter-finals jammed in between Premier League matches. Predicting starting XIs will be very tough. Hence, if possible, try to pick more players from those sides that have already been eliminated from the FA Cup. Only two matches take place this weekend with the last match of the round on Thursday.
Goalkeepers
Rui Patrício has kept six clean sheets in his last seven matches. If one can spare a Wolverhampton Wanderers player’s slot, he could be a brilliant option. The experienced Portuguese International has decent fixtures till the end of the season too.
The injury to Bernd Leno has opened the door for Emiliano Martínez. The Argentine looks set to continue in goal for Arsenal until the end of the season. He is available at a bargain price as well. So, it seems a no-brainer to have him as your backup keeper. Arsenal have a great chance of keeping a clean sheet this week as well against bottom side Norwich City.
Crystal Palace against Burnley could be a goalless draw. Nick Pope is a great option although the Eagles will be slight favourites in this fixture. The injuries to Burnley should mean a better chance for Crystal Palace. However, the match is on Monday so the clarets could have some players back.
Defenders
Matt Doherty has hit double digits five times this season. Two of those hauls came away from home. Doherty will pose a massive attacking threat this week away to struggling Aston Villa. Romain Saïss is a nice and cheap option from Wolves. The Moroccan has cemented a starting spot this season and poses a threat in set-piece situations as well. He gained a bonus point in the last game despite picking up a booking.
It seems strange to suggest Arsenal defenders but they do have a great fixture this week. However, it is really difficult to pick a certain starter with the gunners in FA Cup action this weekend. David Luiz should be back and he has the potential to return attacking points in these sorts of matches. The 15-point haul earlier in the season against Bournemouth comes to mind. It will take a brave FPL manager to take a punt on him, though.
Patrick van Aanholt is a really solid pick this week. He poses an attacking threat and has a good chance of a clean sheet too. Joel Ward is another decent option.
Manchester United look in good shape and one could definitely look at one of their defenders. The Red Devils have decent fixtures till the end of the season. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire are probably the best options.
Everton against Leicester City looks to be a really tight match. One could see a goalless draw in this one as well, which will help the defenders from the two sides. Similarly, Bournemouth against Newcastle United might not produce too many goals.
Midfielders
Bruno Fernandes was overshadowed by Anthony Martial last game week. They are both great options this week as well against Brighton & Hove Albion. Martial will be looking for more goals after his hat-trick against the Blades.
It will be a risky option considering the FA Cup match, but Nicolas Pépé could do well if he gets the start. One would expect Arsenal to beat Norwich City but predicting the starting lineup is next to impossible at this stage. His starting status is uncertain but one cannot ignore the threat posed by Adama Traoré.
Heung-Min Son will face Sheffield United away from home. This could be a tough encounter for Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Blades have been hit hard by injuries and they will be facing Spurs after facing their bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup. So, they might be fatigued. That could help Son and Spurs to take full advantage.
Chelsea midfielders should be considered against struggling West Ham United. Mason Mount has started the most matches under Frank Lampard this season but Christian Pulisic and Willian look in better form.
Strikers
Raúl Jiménez scored once again last game week. The Mexican is perhaps the pick of this round. Against a leaky Aston Villa side, one expects a goal or more from him. A very strong candidate for the armband.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has gone four games without a goal for the first time in his career. The Gabonese will be looking to rectify that in the FA Cup game that is for sure. The Norwich City match also provides a good chance for him to get some goals. He looked good against Southampton but just did not get the rub off the green. His FPL owners surely will look for a big haul from Aubameyang.
Marcus Rashford is someone worth considering for the rest of the season for reasons stated above.
Eddie Nketiah scored a crucial goal for Arsenal against Southampton. Mikel Arteta likes him and has started the youngster regularly. Available at a bargain price, one could certainly take a punt on Eddie.
