REPORT: Juventus Join the Race for Harry Kane

Harry Kane

After several trophyless years at Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane looks set to finally swap his one-club man legacy for the chance to win some of the biggest prizes Europe has to offer. The current Spurs forward has been at the centre of transfer speculation over the last two weeks after insisting that he will not stay at Spurs “just for the sake of it” if he feels as though the club is moving in the wrong direction.

REPORT: Juventus Join the Race for Harry Kane

Elite Interest

News of the Englishman’s surprising statement didn’t take long to spread to Europe’s elite, with both Real Madrid and Manchester United interested in the Spurs man as reported by The Mirror. Real Madrid, however, have since, reportedly, pulled out the race due to financial concerns as a result of the Coronavirus. But, as one door closes, another one has opened for Harry Kane, with Juventus now reportedly turning their attention to the 26-year-old as reported by Corriere Dello Sport via Cian Cheesbrough of the Daily Mail.

A Move Juventus Must Make a Priority

With Cristiano Ronaldo, 35, approaching retirement with each passing year, it won’t be long before Juventus are forced to replace their star man. What better way to replace a player of Ronaldo’s calibre than with a serial goalscorer in Harry Kane.

The transfer would make perfect sense for Juventus, who have uncharacteristically struggled at times in the Serie A title race this season. But, the Italians will have to act quickly to secure the Englishman’s services, with Manchester United also interested. Juventus will be hoping to reel Kane in with the attractive bait of a chance to learn from the very best in Ronaldo, and the chance to form an unstoppable partnership with the 35-year-old in the last years of his career.

The fact is if Kane wants to win trophies, then a move to Juventus is almost perfect with their dominance in the Serie A obvious and their ever-growing threat in Europe a sign of a chance to win top trophies and realise a dream every football fan has of winning the Champions League.
