According to Matt Davies from Evening Standard, former Juventus player Claudio Marchisio would love to see Paul Pogba return to The Old Lady from Manchester United.
He even says that the Frenchman would be “reborn” if he were to return to the club that gave him his star status.
Former Juventus Star Says Paul Pogba Would be “Reborn”
Marchisio Urges the Frenchman to Return to the Club he Starred At
France international Paul Pogba has already played for the Turin outfit. He donned the stripes of Juventus from 2012 to 2016, making 124 appearances and scoring 28 goals.
Pogba excelled at Juventus, especially in the 2015/16 season, his final in Turin, where he scored a joint personal best of eight goals in Serie A.
He also finished the league season as the top assist provider in Serie A, with a personal record of 12 assists, alongside Miralem Pjanić. The Bosnian was still playing for Roma at that time.
A popular teammate that he had at Juve was Italian international Claudio Marchisio, who played for the club from 2006 to 2018. Furthermore, he holds the Frenchman in high regard and wants him to return to the club after four seasons at United.
Speaking to Tuttosport, on the subject of Paul Pogba returning to Juventus, he said: “I would be very happy. I told him that he was wrong to go to Manchester and that if he really wanted to change he should choose Spain.
“Having said that, his return would be extremely positive; Paul would be reborn in the environment he loves and looks after him most.
“And he would give Juventus a lot as they need someone like him in the middle. He is a great professional.”
Should Paul Pogba Return to Juventus?
Pogba has faced much praise, yet much criticism, at Manchester United since his transfer world-record arrival in 2016. Including his three-game spell at United back when he was only 18, he has scored 24 goals in 103 appearances.
He is definitely a valuable player at United, but he was simply a different beast in Italy.
Perhaps a move would benefit him in his career. He’d be welcomed with open arms.
