According to Jan Aage Fjortoft of Viasport, Manchester United are leading the race to sign Jadon Sancho in the summer.
Reports: Manchester United Front Runners To Sign Jadon Sancho
Sancho has 17 goals and 18 assists so far this campaign and is expected to return to England this summer. The youngster would cost in excess of £120 million.
People close to Borussia Dortmund have said that Sancho could go to United, that the club are following him very closely and expect him to play at Old Trafford next season.
Sancho would be the star man in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s rebuild and is said to be interested in playing alongside ‘inspiration‘ Marcus Rashford.
The idea of being a catalyst for a rebuild would be tempting for Sancho. Manchester United will also have no problem in matching the wage demands the winger will have.
United have not had much success this season. However, they still have a good chance to get into the Champions League for next year. This would be important if Sancho was to sign with the Red Devils.
With Paul Pogba looking like he could potentially be heading for the exit door, United would need a replacement in position but also in stature. Sancho would be able to fill a world-class void that the Frenchman would leave behind if he goes.

The good relations between Dortmund and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp make the Reds a more pleasing move for Dortmund. However, Liverpool already have a strong front three – one would have to leave for Sancho to join. The club also have structured wage budget so it would seem unlikely that they would spend big money on Sancho’s wages.
Also, Timo Werner seems a more appropriate fit for Liverpool, as he is cheaper and would more likely fit into the current squad. He also seems very keen for the move.
Sancho also has had interest from Chelsea. However, the Blues have recently agreed a deal for Hakim Ziyech and with improving other positions higher on the list of priorities, it is unlikely they will spend £100+ million on another winger.
It seems that United have the most realistic chance to sign Sancho and, as it stands, it looks like the Red Devils are confident of pushing a deal over the line in the summer.
