Huddersfield Town boss Danny Cowley has confirmed the need for Terence Kongolo to have surgery.

Ruled Out
The defender is on loan at Fulham but has made just two appearances for the London side.
Kongolo, 26, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a foot injury.
The Dutchman has not been in Cowley’s first-team plans since November and was made available for transfer before the January window.
“Obviously it’s very disappointing news for Terence, for Fulham and for Huddersfield Town,” said Cowley.
“These injuries do happen, and Terence will now have an operation which, obviously, we wish him well for.
“He will then start the long road to recovery and, once he recovers, we will look at the picture and take it from there.”
Kongolo is contracted to the Yorkshire side until the summer of 2022.
He featured as an 81st-minute sub in Fulham’s narrow 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers when he suffered the injury.
It has left him ruled out for their last two games against Millwall and Barnsley.
His last Town appearance came in a 5-2 defeat to Bristol City back in November.
Huddersfield Town Future
A move away from Yorkshire is seemingly inevitable for Kongolo.
Terriers boss Cowley said in mid-January that the loan move to Fulham could turn permanent if the defender can reproduce the form from when joined from Monaco.
Cowley said: “It’s a good move for all parties.
“Fulham wanted a player in that position, so it’s a good move for them, a good move for Terence and a good move for us – we are pleased with the deal and the finances associated with it.
“It allows Terence to go and play some football, it gives him a fresh opportunity and, as Town fans know, if Terence gets his head and his heart in the right place, he can be a top player.”
Asked on the possibility of the loan moving turning permanent, Cowley said: “I think there is always that potential when a player goes on loan.
“I know they were very keen on him. Terence had some good options available to him, but we felt this was a good move for us financially and Terence thought it was a good move for him professionally.
“So, we will see how that unfolds. Certainly, if he does as well as people tell me he did in his loan spell at Huddersfield then I am pretty sure Fulham, and quite a lot of other clubs, are going to want to take him permanently in the summer.”
