Nottingham Forest midfielder Liam Bridcutt has joined Lincoln City on loan for the remainder of the season.
Liam Bridcutt Heads To Lincoln City From Nottingham Forest
Loan Deal
The Scotsman joined the Reds in August 2017 for £1million from Leeds United and has made over 30 appearances.
Before then the 30-year-old had been a Premier League player with Sunderland.
Bridcutt has spent time on loan at Bolton Wanderers during the first half of this season.
Speaking of his move to the LNER Stadium, Briductt said: “The main reason [for joining] came after speaking to the manager, he’s a manager who I’ve followed during his career and he’s had some really good clubs.
“Another big selling point for me is that I spoke to Tyler Walker. He was singing the manager’s praises and the club and that all sold it to me.
“I’m excited,” he said.
“Through my whole career I’ve just wanted to keep playing games and keep learning and hopefully I can keep progressing in my career.
“With the manager’s ambition, drive and knowledge of the game and my experience and quality, hopefully together we can achieve great things.”
Swap Deal
In what appears to be a swap move, Bridcutt heads to Lincoln City after Tyler Walker returned to the City Ground earlier this week.
Walker’s return to Trent-side came as a result of Sabri Lamouchi looking to bolster his attacking options.
The Reds are third in the Sky Bet Championship, just two points behind second-placed West Brom.
Forest now have a number of attacking options in the form of top-scorer Lewis Grabban, loanee Adama Diakhaby, Nuno da Costa and now Walker.
The quartet should be enough to help Forest as they look to win promotion via the automatic spots to the Premier League.
