Aston Villa have sent striker Scott Hogan to Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season.
Scott Hogan Joins Birmingham City From Midlands Rivals Aston Villa
Loan Deal
The 27-year-old forward joins a struggling Blues side just eight points above the relegation zone.
Hogan had been on loan with Stoke City but was recalled having made just four starts for the Potters.
Birmingham are on an improving run of form with Pep Clotet’s side unbeaten since a 3-2 loss to Wigan Athletic.
The spell of five matches has seen two wins in all competitions and a 0-0 FA Cup draw with Coventry City.
Hogan first made a name for himself during a three-year spell with Brentford.
The talented forward scored 21 times in 36 appearances between 2014 and 2017; earning a move to Villa.
He was, however, loaned out to Sheffield United last season – with whom he assisted with their promotion to the Premier League.
Hogan scored in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town at Bramall Lane in April, effectively sealing promotion to the top-flight.
Stoke City Spell
Hogan’s spell at the bet365 Stadium was cancelled in order for a move to St Andrew’s to materialise.
The striker scored both goals in the Potters’ 2-2 draw with Derby County on the opening day of the season.
He also scored a late winner to register Stoke’s first win of the season, at Swansea City in October.
However, the on-loan Villan slipped down the pecking order when Stoke sacked Nathan Jones.

I actually feel sorry for Scott Hogan, he looks rough, drained and genuinely distraught!

Took long enough to get somebody over the line and hope he does the business, but still desperately need more additions!!!
