West Brom transfer target Jarrod Bowen has discussed his future at Hull City following rumours of a move away.
West Brom Target Jarrod Bowen Addresses Future Amid Transfer Interest
Bowen, 22, is reportedly under the subject of a £15 million offer from West Brom in order to help the Baggies’ push for promotion.
The Tigers’ winger is, however, also a reported target for top-flight sides Newcastle United and Leicester City.
Bowen has scored 17 goals in 23 matches in all competitions this term.
The prolific goalscorer has hit staggering form in recent weeks, netting 12 goals in 12 league outings.
Hull City are cautious of the impact losing Bowen to a Championship rival could have.
The Yorkshire side are 11th in the league, four points adrift of the play-offs after a 3-0 win over Birmingham City on Saturday.
Hull, therefore, want to keep the winger to the benefit of their own promotion push; but the Tigers could be tempted to let Bowen go if an attractive offer is received.
When quizzed about his future, Bowen told the Sun (via Chronicle Live): “Sometimes you must just take a step back from it all.
“The fact clubs are after you means that you must be doing something good on the pitch.
“I have people I trust off the pitch to take care of all of that and I just look after playing football.
“Then, whatever happens after that, happens.”
West Brom’s lead over Leeds United at the top of the Championship stands at three points.
The Baggies were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford, while Marcelo Bielsa’s side were beaten at Fulham.
Slaven Bilic appears to have formed a side with signs of being strong contenders for promotion back to the top-flight.
This would match Bowen’s aspirations, with the winger admitting it is his “dream” to play in the Premier League.
“That is the dream – to be playing in the Premier League,” he said.
“I have the utmost confidence I can score goals at that level. But to say for sure, I need to be there to answer the question.”
