Transfer Rumours: Kalidou Koulibaly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Willian and More
Madrid to Move for Kalidou Koulibaly
According to Apollo Heyes of Calciomercato, Real Madrid are set to make a move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer transfer window. The Spanish giants are looking for a replacement for Sergio Ramos, 33, who will be 35 by the time his contract expires in 2021. Napoli have not had the best of starts this season, currently sat in seventh in the Serie A after 14 games. Aurelio de Laurentiis is now reportedly planning a rebuild of the squad
Zlatan to Make Serie A Return
After being linked with a return to the Premier League, either with Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has finally put an end to his transfer rumours; he will rejoin AC Milan, as Mike McGrath of the Telegraph writes, whom he played for between 2010 and 2012. Ibrahimovic was a free agent after his contract with LA Galaxy expired, where he scored 52 goals in 56 appearances. AC Milan are currently eleventh in the Serie A, and the Swedish striker will have until the end of the season to try and propel them.
Another striker who could be joining the Italian side is Olivier Giroud. According to Calciomercato sources, the Frenchman wants to seek a January move to boost his chances of being in the France squad for the Euros; he has already fallen below Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi at Chelsea. However, Giroud’s transfer could hinge on Ibrahimovic’s talks with Milan.
Juventus Eye Triple Chelsea Raid
Juventus have already previously showed interest in Chelsea players Willian and Emerson Palmieri. Now, another target could well be leaving Stamford Bridge; the Spanish winger, Pedro. As Apollo Heyes of Calciomercato writes, the 32-year-old is another victim of Frank Lampard‘s youthful revolution. With his contract expiring in the summer, Juventus could make a move for the former Barcelona man.
Berge to Liverpool Could be Fast-tracked
Sander Berge is reportedly a target for Liverpool, the 21-year-old Genk midfielder having impressed against them in the Champions League. Now, according to Gareth Bicknell of the Mirror, the Reds may have to may a move sooner than expected. With Fabinho out until the new year, and only 18 months remaining on the Norwegian’s contract, the timing could be perfect. Berge himself has claimed it would be a ‘dream’ to play at Anfield ‘as often as possible’
Inter to Rival Liverpool for Chiesa
Inter Milan are ready to offer money plus two players for Fiorentina starlet Federico Chiesa, according to reports from Calciomercato. The Nerazzurri want the Liverpool target to propel their Serie A title chase and pip Juventus. Inter currently top the table in Italy, but their limited squad size is a concern for manager Antonio Conte. They are ready to offer €30 million as well as Dalbert and Matteo Politano for the 22-year-old forward. Inter will also sell Gabriel Barbosa to fund a move for Chiesa.
Everton Eyeing Brazilian Namesake
If reports from Sports Witness are correct, then Everton could bizarrely sign a player who shares their name, Everton Soares of Gremio. The Brazilian attacker is a £30 million target for the Merseyside club. Soares’ agent has refuted claims a move is close, but anything can happen between now and January.
