Brighton & Hove Albion boss Graham Potter says he has no “burning desire” to improve the Seagulls in the January transfer window.

Potter: Can We Carry On Improving?
The Seagulls are five points clear of the Premier League drop-zone following a good start to the season.
Brighton have shipped 19 goals this season and scored 15 at the positive end; however, Head Coach Potter says he is more concentrated on getting the most out of his current squad rather than making additions this winter.
Speaking ahead of his side’s trip to Anfield to face league leaders Liverpool, Potter said: “We have had discussions on a really low level, I would say.
“It’s not the ideal time to do things because people want to hold on to their players.
“If you are going to do anything, you have to probably overpay.
“My focus is always to try and improve the group we have got.
“I don’t think we are at the maximum of where we are now in terms of performances. We can still improve.
“There’s no burning desire to do anything, it’s more can we we carry on improving?”
Summer Signings
The Seagulls spent over £45 million in improving their squad this summer.
Potter added Neal Maupay (£20m) and Adam Webster (£20m) from Brentford and Bristol City respectively – Leandro Trossard switched to the South Coast from Genk for £15m.
Brighton also added Aaron Mooy, Matt Clarke, Taylor Richards, Lewis Freestone and Romaric Yapi to their squad in a busy summer.
