Transfer Rumours: Kai Havertz, Alfredo Morelos, Karlan Grant and Emmanuel Dennis
Villa Target Rangers Striker Alfredo Morelos
Rangers 20-goal striker Alfredo Morelos is attracting interest from Aston Villa. Birmingham Live have reported that Villa boss Dean Smith is keen on the 23-year-old. Morelos has a value of around £20 million. However, currently, Villa have made no contact.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is confident of holding on to his star striker. But, a large bid may tempt Rangers. The prolific striker fits Dean Smith’s recruitment policy of buying players with the potential to grow.
United Keen on Kai Havertz
Jeremy Cross of the Star is reporting that Manchester United are plotting a bid for Kai Havertz. The Red Devils are eyeing an £80 million deal for the German star. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a huge fan of the player. Furthermore, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is confident a deal can be done.
Many consider 20-year-old Havertz as one of Europe’s top young stars. Last season, he became the highest-scoring teenager in German history. Moreover, his 17 goals from midfield earned him second place in the German footballer of the year awards. Reportedly, The Red Devils will send senior scouts to watch the technically gifted Havertz in Champions League action this week.
EPL Clubs Want Huddersfield Town Striker
Bournemouth and Wolves are set to do battle over Huddersfield hotshot Karlan Grant. According to Mike McGrath of the Sun, the two Premier League clubs could make a move in January. Grant only moved to Huddersfield from Charlton Athletic last January for £2 million. Nevertheless, the Terriers could make a huge profit if they choose to sell Grant.
Grant scored four goals as Huddersfield struggled and eventually fell back to the Championship last season. The 22-year-old has hit nine goals this season in the Championship. Indeed, the striker has played a big part in the clubs revival under new manager Danny Cowley. It’s his form that has made the likes of Wolves and Bournemouth take an interest.
Leicester City Eye New Forward
Brendan Rodgers could add to his forward line in January. Darren Lewis of the Mirror reports that the Leicester boss is interested in forward Emmanuel Dennis. The 21-year-old currently plays for Club Brugge and has a £20 million price tag.
Dennis is attracting interest due to his current form. He recently scored twice away at Real Madrid in the Champions League. Supposedly, Rodgers wants more competition for star striker Jamie Vardy. Thus, Dennis could be the one to provide that competition.
