Fantasy Premier League Gameweek Eleven has some really interesting fixtures. This article tries to help FPL managers with some helpful advice.
Fantasy Premier League Gameweek Eleven Picks
Goalkeepers
Newcastle United have struggled to score goals this season with just six goals in ten matches. Hence, the temptation is there to pick the goalkeeper facing them. Roberto Jimenez is in that position this week.
Mathew Ryan has a decent shot at a clean sheet this week as well against Norwich City. The Canaries have really gone off the boil with just one point from the last five matches.
Defenders
Benjamin Mendy is fit now and after getting a rest in the League Cup match on Tuesday night, he should be safe to start. Southampton conceded nine against Leicester last week and three against Manchester City in midweek. So, Mendy should get some joy on the attacking front that is for sure.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has not returned the points his overall play deserves. Will he finally get some attacking points this week?
Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell have both been pretty impressive this season. They have a tricky away fixture this week at Crystal Palace. However, considering the form they are in at this moment, one would not bet against them returning solid points this week as well.
Other defenders that could do well this week are-Fikayo Tomori, John Lundstram, Issa Diop and Lewis Dunk.
Midfielders
Kevin De Bruyne was rested for the midweek League Cup match so he should start this one. He could rack up a monster score this week.
Raheem Sterling did not feature in the midweek game as well. That has made him the best captain pick this week in most FPL manager’s eyes. Facing the leakiest defence in the league, Sterling seems like a no-brainer this week. David Silva also should start this week.
Sadio Mané has been in great form this season and could do well at Aston Villa.
Chelsea have a good-looking away fixture at Watford this week. Mason Mount, Willian and Christian Pulisic are all strong options this week.
Pascal Gross and Andriy Yarmolenko have decent home fixtures and should be considered.
Strikers
After a great start to the season, Tammy Abraham has only scored one goal in the last five Premier League matches. Will he rediscover his early-season form this week? Chelsea have a really awesome away record so Watford away should not be a big issue for them.
Neal Maupay was tipped to do well on last week’s preview and he scored nine points last week. He faces the porous Norwich defence this week.
Sergio Aguero could run riot if he gets to start this week. The question remains though, will Guardiola bench him again?
Sébastien Haller has a decent home fixture against Newcastle United. However, he has only scored once in the last six matches.
Jamie Vardy scored a hattrick last week and is the highest-scoring striker on FPL right now. Crystal Palace should pose a tough challenge but one would expect Vardy to cause them problems.
