According to the Spanish media, on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is ready to push for a permanent move to Arsenal. The 23-year-old understands he has no future in the Spanish capital and says he is happy in north London.
Report: Dani Ceballos Wants Arsenal Stay
Meeting With Florentino Perez
As per El Desmarque, While in his native country on international duty, Dani Ceballos met with the Real Madrid president. During the meeting, Perez informed the player that he does not have a future at the club.
Ceballos previously stated his desire to fight for a place in Zinedine Zidane‘s squad, however, is reportedly accepting of the club’s, and manager’s, stance.
Dani Ceballos did inform Perez that he fancies a permanent transfer to Arsenal. He is hopeful that any bid from the Gunners is given first priority as he is enjoying life in north London at the moment.
According to the report, Madrid will ask for £34 million, triple what they paid. However, it is unclear if Arsenal will negotiate during the January window or wait until the summer.
Speaking of his Arsenal loan, Dani Ceballos had this to say,
“Going to Arsenal has been a very important step in my career. I don’t feel sorry for not being in Madrid. Right now I am where I want to be and I am very happy. My idea was to go out, play and enjoy football.
“In the previous two years I had not done so. My goal is only to work to keep doing things right. ‘I have eight months left at Arsenal, I can only thank them for the confidence that the coach and fans have placed in me, who have already made me a song. I am very happy there and I hope to continue for a long time.”
