Despite the transfer window having closed over a month ago, transfer rumours abound around the football world. As Europe’s biggest clubs plan their moves ahead of January, we take a look at the latest from the rumour mill. In today’s edition, Tottenham Hotspur eye a Real Madrid player to replace Christian Eriksen. Rivals Arsenal, meanwhile, are eyeing a ‘Galactico’ of their own, while Inter Milan look to move for another Premier League attacker.
Transfer Rumours: Arsenal, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan
Spurs Eye Eriksen Replacement
According to Adam Powers of Express, Tottenham are interested in signing Isco as a replacement for Christian Eriksen. Spurs’ Danish midfield talisman has just 8 months left on his contract, and looks set to leave for free this summer. However, Spurs need not panic yet. If Powers’ report is correct, Isco wants to leave Real Madrid in January. With Madrid currently holding interest in Eriksen, this could become a deal suitable for both parties. Bayern Munich are also monitoring Isco’s situation, though. What is clear, however, is that both playmakers are seemingly on the way out of their respective clubs.
Arsenal Keen On Vazquez
Joe Doyle of Football.London reports that Arsenal have made an offer for Lucas Vazquez. According to reports in Spain from El Desmarque the door is open for Vazquez to leave the Bernabeu this season. The Gunners, though, will face competition from Bayer Leverkusen and Roma for the Spanish winger’s signature. Roma remain the frontrunner at the moment, as the only side willing to match his price-tag and wages. Arsenal will have to up their game financially, should they want to land their man.
Inter Milan To Move For Giroud
If Lloyd Johnson of The Express is to be believed, Inter Milan could make a move for Olivier Giroud. The French striker has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea, as Tammy Abraham continues to shine in the Premier League. As such, Giroud is unhappy with his role in London. After Alexis Sanchez suffered a freak injury, Inter are lacking depth in attack. The Chilean could be out for the rest of the year, and now the Italian side are considering their options.
