European Transfer Rumours
Milan Move For Correa
AC Milan is looking to build a strong identity under new coach Marco Giampaolo. One of his most important philosophies is that defence starts with the forwards. He needs forwards who will run and press the backline for the good of the team. And they have decided that Angel Correa is the right man to do that.
The 24-year-old Argentine has played all over the frontline in his time under Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid. Correa is one of those players that will give everything for his team. His pressing and work-rate kept him in the Atletico squad. However, pressing and work rate isn’t what makes headlines.
His reported €50 million price tag though, that will make headlines. According to Fabrizio Romano Correa’s deal to Milan will be €50 million plus another €10 million in potential add-ons. He will have to provide more than the 20 league goals he scored in four seasons at Atletico Madrid to make Milan happy with that price.
Juventus Planning Their Departures
Maurizio Sarri was asked in his press conference before Juventus’s International Champions Cup match against Inter what he expects from the market. “I expect departures” was his response. And there will be plenty of departures at Juventus over the next month. There were reports yesterday that one of those departures could be none other than Paulo Dybala.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Juventus are discussing the viability of swapping Dybala to Paris St. Germain for Neymar. The Neymar saga has already, and is going to, take all sorts of twists and turns this summer.
The latest would be a swap plus cash deal involving Dybala, Blaise Matuidi and some amount of money for Neymar. Now, it’s likely that this is just a story made up to sell papers. But with Neymar desperate to leave Paris, anything can happen.
