Latest European Transfer Rumours

PSG Reject First Offer For Neymar

Matt Maltby of The Mirror reports that Paris Saint-Germain have rejected an ambitious first offer from Barcelona for Neymar. The offer involved £36 million as well as Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic. Neymar only left the Spanish Champions two years ago for €222 million, a world record transfer fee.

However, this summer the Brazilian star has expressed his desire to return to Catalonia. He went AWOL from training in order to try and force the move, but his efforts are fruitless as of yet.

Barcelona reportedly needed to take a loan out to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atlético Madrid, and are trying to jump through financial hoops to resign their former Brazilian winger. PSG, though, would prefer the cash in full to sign the players they want.

Arsenal Close On Ceballos Loan

Richard Forrester of The Sun claims that Arsenal are waiting for the green light to sign Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid. The Gunners’ north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur were interested in the Spaniard, but Arsenal have stolen a march to sign him. Real Madrid were demanding £45 million for his permanent signature, but believe his value will increase after a successful loan spell.

Ceballos won player of the tournament at the under-21 European Championship, which Spain won. All Arsenal need now is the go-ahead from Zinedine Zidane.

Bayern Target Spanish Under-21 Star

According to Pablo Egea of Marca, Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Spanish under-21 midfielder Marc Roca. The Spaniard, 22, impressed in the under-21 European Championship and last term with Espanyol. However, the Bavarian side are unwilling to match the £36 million release for the Espanyol midfielder.

Bayern are doing all they can to negotiate with Espanyol to lower their asking price, with an agreement already in place with the player. However, the Catalan side are standing firm for now.

Former Gunner On His Way To Milan

Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian understands that Ismaël Bennacer is set to join AC Milan. The former Gunner could have rejoined his old side this summer, but Arsenal rejected the chance to land him. The Algerian midfielder was named player of the group stages during the Africa Cup of Nations this summer.

Arsenal inserted a clause in Bennacer’s contract when they sold him to Empoli which allowed them to match any bids for the Algerian. But, they opted against matching Milan’s £14 million bid for him. He will reportedly finalise his move to Milan after the Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal.
