Latest Premier League Transfer Rumours

Arsenal Chasing Everton Soares

Sam Meade of the Daily Star reports that Arsenal want to sign Everton Soares. The Gunners have reportedly agreed a deal to sign the 23-year-old Copa América Champion. Arsenal will pay an initial £25 million for the Brazil international, though this fee could rise to £36 million. However, there are doubts about Arsenal’s pay structure in the deal.

Everton Soares has just come off the back of an impressive Copa América with Brazil. The Gremio winger was joint top-scorer at the tournament with three goals and has garnered interested from Europe.

Unai Emery is thought to be chasing a winger this summer, as well as a new full-back and central defender. Though, Arsenal will need to raise funds through player sales if they want to fill all these positions.

Otamendi To Leave Champions?

Joe Bray of Manchester Evening News writes that Nicolás Otamendi could yet leave this summer. The form of Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Vincent Kompany pushed the Argentine down the pecking order at Manchester City. Though, Kompany moving to Belgium could have given him another chance in the first team.

When Otamendi moved from Valencia to City, he left knowing that ‘one day he would return’. It is not clear if his return to Spain will come this summer or some time in the future.

West Ham Optimistic of Haller Deal

Giuseppe Muro of the Evening Standard claims that West Ham are in talks to sign Sébastien Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Hammers are desperate for a new striker after losing Marko Arnautović, and target Maxi Gómez moved to Valencia. Frankfurt value the Frenchman at £40 million.

Haller, 25, scored 20 goals in 41 appearances for the German side last season. West Ham have only two senior strikers remaining, and with Jordan Hugill set to move to the Championship, they need offensive reinforcements. Frankfurt, though, will be reluctant to sell, after already losing Luka Jović to Real Madrid.

Wolves To Use Mendes Links Again?

According to the Joseph Chapman of the Birmingham Mail, Wolves may move for Lazio defender Wallace. The Brazilian defender is on the books of Jorge Mendes, who has helped the Midlands side a lot in the past.

Wallace was a bit-part player for Lazio last season, only making 20 appearances for the Rome-based side. He also spent two years on loan with Monaco, another club which Mendes has links with. This would be Wolves’ third signing of the summer, after the permanent captures of Leander Dendoncker and Raúl Jiménez.
