Latest on Rodri Hernández, Sessegnon, Lallana and Kanneman

Lallana to Return to Southampton?

Due to fears over his Liverpool future, Adam Lallana is keen on a return to Southampton according to the Express. Injuries have disrupted recent seasons and the 31-year-old may have to move on to resurrect his career. Should he leave, Liverpool could ask for around £13 million.

Southampton will be in the market this summer to improve their squad. A move for Lallana could therefore appeal. The England international helped the Saints return to the Premier League from League One. He then moved to Liverpool for £25 million in 2014.

United Winning Race for Sessegnon

Manchester United appear to be the front-runners to sign Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon. Sky Sports are reporting that although Tottenham and Juventus are interested, United are the first club to make contact. The 19-year-old looks certain to leave Fulham this summer after their relegation from the Premier League.

Sessegnon is not keen on returning to the Championship. With just one year left on his contract, Fulham have reluctantly accepted that he will move on. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to rebuild his squad, and young home-grown players are in his plans.

Rodri Hernández to City?

AS are reporting that Manchester City are prepared to pay the €70 million release clause for Rodri Hernández. The Atlético Madrid midfielder has had an offer from City and is close to accepting. Other clubs are reportedly interested and the 22-year-old is carefully weighing up his options. However, the appeal of playing for Pep Guardiola appears to make City favourites.

The Spanish midfielder is keen to make a decision quickly to allow Madrid time to find a replacement. Rodri is a product of Atleti’s youth system but left to join Villarreal. He returned last summer for fee of around €20 million.

Arsenal set to Make first Signing

Unai Emery looks set to make his first signing of the transfer window. The Mirror are reporting that the Gunners have tabled a £10.5 million bid for Argentina defender Walter Kannemann. The 28-year-old plays for Gremio in Brazil and Emery is keen to add him to his squad.

Arsenal could have competition, however. Italian side Sampdoria are also interested. The Argentine international is regarded as one of the best defenders in South America. With Emery keen to bolster his defensive options, Kannemann could prove to be a bargain buy should he settle in England.
