Captaincy Picks

All the teams that were at home in the last round are again at home this round. Hence, most of the good picks of Gameweek 19 can be considered for the armband even if they did badly.

There are some good looking matchups this round. Tottenham Hotspur have scored a staggering 11 goals in the last two games. Wolves are a decent side but with Spurs in this kind of form, it will probably be a tough outing for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. One must consider Harry Kane and Son Heung-min for the captaincy pick. They are both in superb form. Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen are good picks as well although Mauricio Pochettino might just rest some players.

Manchester United have another decent home game this round against Bournemouth. Paul Pogba scored twice on Boxing Day and will be looking to add to his tally. Marcus Rashford failed to find the net but might get another chance to shine. Anthony Martial missed out due to illness but is likely to be available.

Other Top Contenders

Manchester City have had some shocking results recently. They have now lost back-to-back games and are six points behind Liverpool. Southampton will hope to pile on the misery on the Cityzens but Pep’s boys might just bounce back in this game. Top picks for them are Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero. However, Guardiola might ring the changes in this game, so be careful.

Liverpool will take on Arsenal in a game they are likely to win. The Gunners looked really disjointed against Brighton and have a few injuries. The likes of Mohamed Salah will be relishing the chance to play against the North Londoners.

Eden Hazard scored a brace against Watford in the late kick-off. He has another London derby, this time against Crystal Palace. The Eagles won at the Etihad last week but then failed to beat Cardiff at home. It might be an exciting game at Selhurst Park as Chelsea are quite vulnerable as well.

Differentials to Consider

Aleksandar Mitrovic has been in dire form of late but has a decent looking home game against Huddersfield Town. It will be a tight game and he might be the one to unlock it.

Watford’s Roberto Pereyra is always a threat and he’s scored 21 points in the last two games. He has a good home fixture against Newcastle so should be worth considering.

Jamie Vardy is back and is looking good. Cardiff might make things difficult for him and Maddison though.
