Real Madrid are going through a tough phase in their history. The departures of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo have negatively affected the club. Solari‘s appointment will spark a revival at the club. Top players need to arrive in order to lift the team back up, which is just what Real Madrid are attempting to do.
Real Madrid’s Top Targets
There are many top players on Real Madrid’s wishlist, though only the very best will make it to the club. Some may remain at their clubs, while others would be willing to move to the Spanish capital.
Exequiel Palacios
Exequiel Palacios is a done deal. According to Marca, the Argentine will sign for Real Madrid as soon as the Copa Libertadores comes to an end. He will cost the club around €20 million and Palacios will sign a deal that runs until 2024.
The midfielder is an exciting prospect waiting to prove himself in Europe. Los Blancos are known for investing in young players, helping them develop into world-class stars. Palacios appeared nearly 40 times for River Plate, proving to be a key player in Marcelo Gallardo‘s squad. The 20-year-old is going to excel at his new club, showing the world his talent.
Real Madrid’s midfielders are on top of the world, though it is time to welcome the new generation. Toni Kroos and Luca Modric are slowly ageing but are still on top of their game. The club is making the right decision to invest in a youngster whose value can drastically rise in the years to come. Palacios is expected to officially begin playing with the club in January.
Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez is one of the best in the Premier League. He was a key player at Barcelona and Arsenal, though the Manchester United stint isn’t going well for the winger. The Chilean has only scored four goals in 29 appearances for the Red Devils, struggling to impact the squad. Sanchez’s move to Madrid could be very close, possibly as early as January.
According to OK DIARIO, the 29-year-old’s agent has offered his client to Real Madrid. The Spanish club is looking to reinforce the attack and Sanchez could be the perfect option. The last time he played in Spain was with FC Barcelona. The former Arsenal man scored 47 and assisted 35 in 141 appearances with the Blaugrana.
Although Sanchez is unhappy in Manchester, his club are not ready to let go of him just yet. Skill is still present in the attacker, Jose Mourinho is trying to bring the best out of the player. An offer of around €35 million could be enough to lure him out of the club.
Suso
Suso is one of the best in Europe at the moment. The Spaniard has scored four and assisted eight in only 12 league appearances. He is arguably the best player at AC Milan, who are trying their best to keep hold of him. Suso stated that he was honoured about Real Madrid’s interest, though he is very happy in Milan.
The 24-year-old has a release clause of €38 million. AC Milan are trying to offer him a new contract, getting rid of the clause. The former Liverpool man is keen on staying in Italy, not interested in the clubs chasing his signature. Madrid need to make a huge offer to convince Milan of letting him go. The move seems unlikely, but they won’t give up the chase just yet.
Neymar
Neymar isn’t the only one Real Madrid are eyeing; his teammate Kylian Mbappe is also on the radar. The club has turned to the Brazilian as his transfer is a more realistic idea. According to AS, PSG will need to let go of one of their stars due to financial reasons. Los Blancos need Neymar at the club and will do their very best to recruit him.
The former FC Barcelona man reportedly wants to leave the club. The 26-year-old wants to be the star of the club, which is why he left Spain. In France, he is outshined by Kylian Mbappe, who won the World Cup during the summer. PSG would need to let Neymar go for a lower price than they bought him as Financial Fair Play will come knocking on their door otherwise.
Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard is one of the best in the world. He is currently valued at €150 million, the most valuable player at Chelsea. The 27-year-old has always expressed his love for Madrid, even hinting on the move last summer. The Belgian can reunite with his national teammate Thibaut Courtois.
The former Lille man is looking for a new challenge after six years at the club. He can form a deadly attack with Gareth Bale and the rest of the forwards at the club. The move will be costly for Real Madrid, but Florentino Perez is willing to spend to bring the club back to the top.
