Football Transfer News: Latest on Arnautovic, Can and Lewandowski

Marko Arnautovic

A bright light in a dull season for West Ham United. Marko Arnautovic racked up 11 goals earning him, ‘Hammer of the Year’ In April 2018. Sky Sports News report that Jose Mourinho will bolster his frontline this summer and is interested in signing the West Ham hitman. West Ham have recently appointed Manuel Pellegrini as manager and would be reluctant to sell. The value for the transfer of the player is around £50 million.

Robert Lewandowski

The Guardian report Robert Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has said that the player would like to leave Bayern Munich in this summer transfer window. The football agent who was responsible for Neymar’s World record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain said that the reasons are “not about money or a specific club, as nearly all top clubs would like to have the world’s best striker in their ranks”.

Meanwhile, Karl Heinz Rummenigge, the Bayern Munich Chief Executive told Kicker in Germany, “we know what we have in Robert Lewandowski. I am very happy that we still have such a long-term contract. There is no need to worry – he will also play next season at Bayern Munich.” Lewandowski has three years remaining on his current contract. No offers have yet been made. However, it is believed that Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG are all interested in the player.

Emre Can

The Daily Mirror reports that Emre Can has played his last game for Liverpool. With the signing of Fabinho, a holding midfield player, Can will now complete his move to Juventus. There is no rift between Klopp and Can although there is a difference of opinion on his best position and Can feels it is time to move on. Can is set to sign a five-year deal with the Italian giants before the World Cup begins.
