We picked a handful of our favorite Wednesday NBA player props from the league’s nine-game schedule. Two matchups earn national TV spots tonight, including Hawks vs. Suns to close the evening.

Lauri Markkanen Over 24.5 Points | Over 3.5 Threes
Markkanen does not need much help these days. He’s averaging 28.5 points on 49.5% shooting from the field, including 46.8% from beyond the arc. He will receive a hand anyway though, as OG Anunoby is sidelined for the Raptors.
Toronto’s opponents produce better offensive ratings when Anunoby is off the floor, so his absence theoretically provides Markkanen more room to operate. Some of that room should come from three-point land, where he has nailed four-plus long-range attempts in four of his last five contests.
Cameron Johnson Over 14.5 Points | Over 2.5 Threes
Johnson is playing reasonably well since his return – Monday night notwithstanding. He’s averaging 15.3 points on 47.6% shooting over his last six games, including five starts. He should continue to see respectable shot volume with Cameron Payne and Landry Shamet absent and vacating 19.1 shot attempts.
He is also shooting well from three-point land over the aforementioned stretch. The Hawks defend the three reasonably well, but the Suns will need Johnson to produce from distance.
Anthony Edwards Over 28.5 Points
Sometimes it’s worth simply riding the hot hand, which Edwards is wielding. He’s averaging 34 points over his last six. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He’s hitting a robust 53.6% of his 23.3 shots over that span. That includes 50.8% on 9.8 three-point attempts.
The Wolves and Warriors both rank top five in pace, so there should be plenty of shot volume. It’s also worth noting that we’re not talking about the same Warriors defense that ranked top five in efficiency the last two seasons. Edwards’ current form combined with his expected usage in a high-scoring contest has us leaning Over.
