It’s all but a certainty that the Arizona Cardinals will move on from DeAndre Hopkins this offseason. The question is, where will the All-Pro wide receiver be dealt?
There’s no shortage of teams in desperate need of receiver help, but with Hopkins’ no-trade clause, he’ll have a say in where he winds up.

NFL offseason bets: Which team will DeAndre Hopkins play for next season?
Things got messy in Arizona this year. After making the playoffs in 2022, the Cardinals finished this season with a fired coach, a disgruntled quarterback on IR, and a departed GM.
And now they’re going to trade their superstar receiver.
DeAndre Hopkins still has two years left on his contract but is expected to negotiate a new deal wherever he goes. Thanks to a no-trade clause, he’ll also have some input on his landing spot.
Here are some potential suitors for the 30-year-old wideout.
The favorites to land DeAndre Hopkins
New England Patriots
No team needs a number-one receiver like the New England Patriots. The Pats have been notoriously bad at drafting receivers, so trading for a proven stud might be the team’s best option.
Right now, quarterback Mac Jones is stuck throwing to an underwhelming hodgepodge of Jakobi Meyers, DeVante Parker, and Tyquan Thornton. That’s not going to cut it in today’s pass-centric NFL.
Meyers – the team’s top receiver – will enter free agency this offseason, seemingly opening the door for NE to go after a big fish. While it seems logical that Bill Belichick and the Pats would be aggressive in pursuing Hopkins, it’s no lock that the WR would be interested in going to New England.
At 30, you’d imagine D-Hops wants to win now. A non-playoff team with an unproven quarterback and cold weather might not check the boxes.
Kansas City Chiefs
DraftKings sportsbook has the Chiefs as the second-most likely team to woo Hopkins. But do they really need him?
Patrick Mahomes has proven he can get it done without a number-one receiver. After losing Tyreek Hill, all he did this year was lead the league in passing yards and touchdowns, likely win the league MVP, and take his team to the Super Bowl.
Of course, adding Hopkins would improve any team. But if you can get it done with what you have and not break the bank, why bother?
Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers didn’t have much fun with his receiving corps this season. While Mahomes thrived after losing Tyreek Hill, Rodgers and the Packers plummeted when Davante Adams bounced.
Green Bay has some talented young pass catchers, but none are ready to assume the number one role. A veteran star like Hopkins would do wonders for their development while making the Packers contenders again.
With Aaron Rodgers potentially being traded, the Pack will have some extra dough to spend. It would be in their best interest to give heir apparent Jordan Love some firepower if he takes over next year.
Don’t sleep on the Jaguars and Chargers
Arizona sports radio host John Gambadoro recently reported that DeAndre Hopkins has two teams in mind – the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Chargers. Whether the feeling is mutual is unknown.
Both teams already have some hefty contracts at the wide receiver position and would likely need to do some player shuffling to make it happen.
The Chargers and Jaguars were playoff teams this season and have burgeoning superstar quarterbacks that would drool over the addition of Hopkins. He might just be the piece of the puzzle needed for either of these squads to go all the way.
You’ll get an enticing +1500 on both teams at DraftKings right now.
