UFC 308

UFC 308 has a great card of fights to wager on.  FanDuel has some of the best wagering options of all the major sportsbooks for UFC action. In addition to the regular money line bets, FanDuel offers the following wager types for all of the matches on the card.

  • Method of victory-these wagers allow you to bet on whether either fighter will win by points, KO/TKO or submission
  • Will the fight go the distance?
  • Method and round combo-bet on either fighter to win by KO/TKO in any round or by submission in any round
  • Total rounds-over/under bets on how many rounds the fight will last-selections are based on half rounds so none of these bets will be draws-either you win or lose
  • Round betting-bet on either fighter to win in any round-method of victory does not apply
  • How fight will end-doesn’t require you to pick a winner just whether the end will be based on KO/TKO, submission or points
  • Several UFC specials
  • Double chance-pick the winner by KO/TKO or submission, KO/TKO or points and by submission or points
  • Decision no bet-if a fight goes to the scorecards, the bet is void
  • KO/TKO Round Combos-pick the winner by KO/TKO in one of two pre-selected rounds
  • Submission Round Combos-pick the winner by submission in one of two pre-selected rounds

Odds and Prediction

Main Event Odds and Predictions: Lia Topuria v Max Holloway

The main event for the evening is a featherweight title fight between undefeated Lila Topuria and Max Holloway. Topuria comes in as a solid but not overwhelming favorite with a money line of -260 while Holloway is at + 196. The underdog has seven losses on his record which means he knows how to lose. The money line bet on Topuria offers far value at best as you have to risk $260 to win $100. There are some better options on the FanDuel site. For example for Topuria to win and for round four to start is at + 155. Or for Topuria to win by submission or for Holloway to win by KO/TKO is at + 280. Also take a look at the various wagering options referenced above on the FanDuel site. We’re taking Topuria to win it and finish it early. He’s already ended 13 of his 15 fights in this fashion.

Co-Main Event Predictions and Best Bets: Robert Holloway v Khamzat Chimaev

Saturday’s co-main event features a middleweight contest between Robert Whittaker another undefeated fighter in favorite Khamzat Chimaev. Whittaker has started talking about a retirement timeline so he will come into this fight with a lot of motivation. He comes in as a good sized underdog at + 200 while Chimaev is at -265 on the money line. Chimaev has also ended 13 of his 15 fights early so that’s something we have to pay attention to. However we think Whittaker will put up a heck of a fight and possibly take it the distance. A wager on the fight to go the distance is at + 290. All of the wagers for Chimaev to win by method of victory except DQ are plus money so those should all be given careful consideration. We like Chimaev to win a very competitive fight.

Top Bets To Make: Magomed Ankalaev v Aliksander Rajiv

Our third and final pick for this card is a matchup between Mohamed Ankalaev and Aliksander Rakic in a light heavyweight fight. Ankalaev comes into the bout as a big favorite as his money line of -385 reflects while the underdog Rajiv is at + 290. The money line on the favorite doesn’t offer much value so if that’s your choice of wager take Rakic. Neither of the bets on whether the fight will go the distance offer good value.  Wagers on either fighter to end it early by specific method of victory offer much more value. There are several to choose from and you can make multiple wagers and still win money if one of them hits. We expect Ankalaev to win in a fight that should be much more competitive than the oddsmakers suggest.

So sit back and enjoy a great night of UFC action, place your first bet and win even some more money.
