Tonight’s Best Grizzlies vs. Warriors NBA Player Props
Ja Morant Over 28.5 Points
The theme of tonight’s matchup is volume and there’s quantitative and qualitative reasoning behind our Over play. The Warriors and Grizzlies are Nos. 1-2 in pace and both rank top seven in shot attempts per game.
Morant attempted 20-plus shots 25 times this season, a benchmark we’re comfortable betting on him surpassing tonight. He scored at least 29 points in 16 of those contests. The Grizzlies are also in the midst of a three-game losing streak. A nationally televised spot against the defending champion Warriors is the perfect stage for a “get right” performance.
Steph Curry Over 4.5 Threes
The Warriors attempt the most three-pointers per game, thanks in large part to Curry’s quick trigger. He hasn’t been shy since returning on January 10, attempting 12.2 treys per contest. That includes at least 15 long-range attempts in three of his last six games.
Golden State is scratching and clawing its way out of play-in territory and can’t afford to lay eggs at home. Add in the ESPN treatment and it’s reasonable to anticipate Curry and Co. being locked in tonight. They’re 3 point favorites with a hefty game total.
Desmond Bane Over 2.5 Threes
While we recognize Bane’s better shooting at home vs. the road, we love the expected pace and electricity of the matchup. He’s shooting 53.7% overall from three-point land over his last nine games.
Golden State isn’t particularly stingy defending the three-point line. If Bane attempts seven threes – he averages 7.2 on the season – we’ll take our chances with him knocking down three of them.
Draymond Green Over 14.5 Assists + Rebounds
Green is playing well of late, averaging 9.5 rebounds and 7.1 assists across his last 10 games. That includes racking up double figures in at least one category seven times over that span.
If this matchup is as pacy and high-scoring as the metrics and sportsbooks suggest, Green will have plenty of opportunities to facilitate offense and clean the glass. The current form of Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole aid our Over position in this spot.
