It’s been a smashing start for American women at the Australian Open, with all but one of the Red, White, and Blue females advancing.
Coco Gauff took little time to dismantle her Czech opponent Katerina Siniakova in straight sets and will now look forward to her second-round match with 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu.

Australian Open Odds: Coco Gauff vs. Emma Raducanu
Two of women’s brightest young stars will square off for the first time at Melbourne Park tonight. Emma Raducanu rose to fame after a dazzling 2021 US Open championship in which she didn’t drop a single set.
Since then, she has been hampered by injuries, and her career has yet to entirely live up to early expectations. But the London product is still just 20 years old and will look to regain the form that launched her to the world’s 10th-ranked player last July.
Coco Gauff’s meteoric rise began in 2019 when she won the Linz Open as a 15-year-old. She followed that up with a fourth-round Wimbledon appearance in the same year.
Gauff has now climbed to No. 7 in the WTA rankings but is still seeking her first major. The now 18-year-old had her best season as a pro in 2022, reaching the finals at the French and the quarters at the US Open.
Gauff has beaten up the hard court this season (6-0) and is 65-36 all-time. Raducanu is 2-1 on the year with a 66-24 career record.
