The Milwaukee Bucks have traded point guard Tyler Ennis to the Houston Rockets for the former number two overall pick Michael Beasley. The Milwaukee Bucks are clearly trying to replace the injured Khris Middleton who will be out for 6 months following a torn hamstring.
The trade was originally reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Thursday afternoon.

Milwaukee Bucks Acquire Michael Beasley
This will benefit both sides greatly. Since locking up Giannis Antetokounmpo to a 100$ million dollar deal the Bucks. The Bucks would have had an unfortunate had a log-jam at the point guard position. What really made Tyler Ennis expendable was the fact that he is not a prolific shooter from the outside, meaning he didn’t offer something different from now backup point guard Michael Carter-Williams.
While on one hand Milwaukee freed themselves of a player who won’t likely get many minutes, they also added Michael Beasley. The power forward averaged 12.8 points on 52.2 percent field goal percentage while gobbling up 4.9 rebounds. Beasley fits the mold of Milwaukee, having plenty of length and athleticism. He should be able to fit their style of position-less basketball. Although not a true replacement for Khris Middleton; Beasley should theoretically the injured Buck until his return near the end of the season.
On the other hand the Houston Rockets picked up the 3-year, 5$ million dollar contract of former Syracuse guard Tyler Ennis. Although this is Ennis’ third NBA, this could be his first time to receive lots of playing time. In Phoenix Ennis was in a loaded backcourt of Goran Dragic, Zoran Dragic, Archie Goodwin, Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas. While in Milwaukee he was behind Michael Carter-Williams and Giannis Antentokounmpo. Ennis will be able to jump into this Rockets team and play valuable backup minutes. Ennis is a floor general who only averaged 1.0 turnover a game last season. He will change the pace of the game, getting team, especially Harden is on the bench.
