Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton has suffered a torn hamstring and will undergo surgery. He is expected to miss six months, leaving him on the sidelines until at least March.
The news was first reported by Shams Charania of The Vertical on Wednesday night.

Khris Middleton Suffers Torn Hamstring, Will Undergo Surgery
Middleton, 25, averaged 18.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game last season. He led the Bucks in points (18.2), minutes (36.1), steals (1.7), and three point field goals (143). Milwaukee signed him to a 4 year, $70 million contract last off-season, expecting him to play a significant role in the future of the team. Until this injury, Middleton has proved to be fairly durable, missing just six games in total the past three seasons.
The Bucks still have plenty of forward depth with Giannis Antetokounmpo, whom they recently signed to a 4 year, $100 million extension earlier this week, as well as former second overall pick Jabari Parker.
General manager John Hammond announced, “We’ll rely on our overall roster depth to help us while Khris is out for a significant period of the season.”
However, the The Vertical has reported that the team is looking into acquiring another forward following the news of Middleton’s injury.
After a disappointing season last year, the Bucks have high expectations for this upcoming season. The loss of Middleton is a devastating blow and will prove to be a significant challenge to overcome.
