Adrian Wojanrowski of ESPN has reported that Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the organization. The contract details have not been announced at the time of this report. Brown has been at the helm of the 76ers since the 2013-14 season and had one year left on his contract before the extension. He is now under contract through the 2021-22 season.

Report: Brett Brown Agrees to Contract Extension with Philadelphia 76ers
This move was no-brainer for both Brown and the 76ers. Each has stuck by the other’s side through “The Process” and are now watching it come to fruition. Despite Brown’s first three seasons, in which the 76ers failed to win more than 20 games each season, former general manager Sam Hinkie knew that Brown was the right man for the job and the team would see better days sooner rather than later.
Consider “The Process” trusted after this past season for the 76ers. A 52-30 record would be the team’s first 50-win season since 2000-01. In that season, 76ers legend Allen Iverson led the organization to an NBA Finals appearance. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are two up and coming stars in the association. Both of them have the city of Philadelphia and the NBA world excited for the future.
A Possible Exciting Summer Ahead
Look for more possible moves to be made for the 76ers to be made this summer. Many feel they are the favorites to land coveted free agent LeBron James this summer to be that one extra piece to put them over the top in the rising Eastern Conference.
