After a lengthy decision-making process, Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer —the sons of former NBA star Carlos Boozer —have revealed that they will commit to the Duke Blue Devils rather than the Miami Hurricanes.

In choosing Duke, the duo will join their father’s alma mater, where he played three seasons under the legendary Mike Krzyzewski and won a national championship in 2001. In 2022, Krzyzewski walked away from coaching, and was subsequently replaced by Jon Scheyer. Like Carl. Boozer, Scheyer played under Coach K for multiple seasons, winning a championship with the Blue Devils in 2010.
Duke Beats Out Miami For Heavily Recruited Boozer Twins
Now that Scheyer has managed to convince the Boozer twins to commit to Duke, he might have enough talent to win a championship as a head coach too. However, Cam. Boozer is ranked No. 2 in the 2025 ESPN 100, an indication that he may be a one-and-done. Frankly, while 17-year-old forward AJ Dybantsa is the top-ranked player in his class, Cam. Boozer may be able to overtake him.
Duke commit Cameron Boozer, No. 2 on @PaulBiancardi‘s Top 25 players regardless of class, is ‘the most fundamentally sound player in high school basketball’ and is projected to be ‘a high lottery pick in 2026’ 🔥

Dybantsa certainly looks the part of a future No. 1 pick in terms of his skillset and physical profile.
Nonetheless, Cam. Boozer is a terrific technician at the forward position and displays a high basketball IQ. In a league that’s becoming increasingly cognizant of the importance of fundamentals, Boozer is the type of prospect who can be a cornerstone player for every NBA team.
Cay. Boozer, a point guard, is also more substance than flash. Ranked No. 17 in the 2025 ESPN 100, he may ended up going in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft if he declares. With that being said, Cay. Boozer is the type of prospect who could stay in college for a couple of years.

He’s an average athlete, often finishing below the rim or settling for pull-up jumpers because he wasn’t explosive enough to do otherwise. He’s also more of a shooting guard than point guard at 6-foot-3. Nonetheless, Cay. Boozer does a lot to positively impact winning, particularly as an on-ball scorer.
