SEC Program Expected To Win A Three-Way Battle For 2025 Top-10 Power Forward

London Jemison, one of the top power forward prospects in 2025, is slated to make his college decision tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. (ET). According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Jemison is deciding between Alabama, Louisville, and Kansas.  However, a favorite has reportedly emerged.

SEC Program Expected To Win A Three-Way Battle For 2025 Top-10 Power Forward

Jemison’s recruitment has risen rapidly over the past year. The 6-7 195-pound forward first became ranked in On3’s top 150 this past November. He continued to raise his stock throughout the prep season at St. Thomas More (CT) and this summer, shooting 37% from deep while playing on Nike’s EYBL Circuit.

Jemison holds over 25 offers, with 10 overtures coming since May. He is the consensus No. 38 prospect in the class and No. 9 power forward.

Jemison is known for his athleticism and versatility, though he has improved as a shooter. He is also very good at attacking the hoop in transition and can guard four positions defensively. He projects as a 3-and-D archetype.

“He’s got tremendous size, great length and is in the process of making the move from a four-man with some perimeter ability to a guy who I think plays on the wing full-time, said Eric Bossi of 247Sports. “We talk about ‘Three and D’ guys all the time, and, to me, he’s one of a select few in the class who most fits that “Three and D’ prototype.”

Jemison’s Top 3 Schools

Jemison officially visited all three of his finalists over the last month. He was at Kansas (August 29), Alabama (September 7), and Louisville (September 13).

So, what is he looking for in a school?

” I’m going to look closely at the relationship I have,” Jemison told On3. “Like if my family and everything feels comfortable with the coaches. Winning is very important, that is why I play, to win. Player development will be big for me, too. The playstyle will be big for me. I’m comfortable in systems that play four and five out with a lot of running and spacing on the court with threes and backdoor cutting.”

Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama officially offered Jemison at the end of May.

According to Joseph Hastings of BamaOnLine, Alabama became interested in Jamison after watching him at the second session of the EYBL tournament in Atlanta. The Crimson Tide officially offered Jemison a scholarship at the end of May, and he officially visited Tuscaloosa during the first full weekend of September.

Jemison talked to BamaOnline about his visit.

“It was good. Really good. It was my first time on campus. [What stood out was] definitely the developmental program. How they keep track of their analytics, show what you already do good at, and what you can improve on. Definitely the development and the relationships I built.”

Alabama is considered the overwhelming favorite to land, with On3 giving the Tide a 91% chance of securing Jamison’s services, while 247Sports has the Tide’s chances at 100%.

“On the Bama side of things, there is some confidence to go along with some uncertainty, said Tim Watts of BOL. “Jemison has built good relationships with the coaching staff, and his official visit two weekends ago went as well as Alabama could have hoped for. There is certainly some recruiting left to go, but the feedback has been positive thus far.”

Plus, Alabama assistant coach Preston Murphy has a previous relationship with Jemison, as he used to coach with the Expressions Elite program.

Louisville Cardinals

Louisville is considered the biggest threat to Alabama winning the battle for Jameson. The Cardinals offered Jemison in June after watching him at the NBA Top 100 Camp in Orlando, and they received his last visit, per Jody Demling of 247Sports.

Jemison does fits the style of player that Pat Kelsey wants.

Kansas Jayhawks

Kansas is believed to be out of the loop, even if not officially. The Jayhawks offered Jamison in July, and he visited Lawrence in July.

“My Kansas visit was good,” Jemison told Tipton in early September. “It was very impressing. I liked it a lot. I liked Coach Self a lot and I liked how he was very straight up and honest. The staff was great and showed that they would help develop me. I think it’s a good fit. They move the ball and play fast. And the competition in practice was great also.”
