Last season was filled with incredible parity around the NBA, and fans hope this season brings much of the same. With the release of the NBA schedule, here are the three games best games of the 2024-25 season.

The 3 Best Games on the 2024-25 NBA Schedule

NBA Finals Rematch (January 25th): Boston Celtics @ Dallas Mavericks

The 2023-24 NBA season culminated in the Boston Celtics grabbing their 18th NBA banner. They defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games in a series that was not as competitive as many had hoped. Luka Doncic simply did not have enough help to get past the talented Celtics. Boston was one of the frontrunners the entire season and was the odds-on favorite to make the Finals out of the East. Dallas, on the other hand, was a surprise contender, making the Finals as the fifth seed. That is what makes this Finals rematch so intriguing. The Mavericks have retooled with sharpshooting future hall-of-famer Klay Thompson, while the Celtics are running back their championship roster. Can Dallas get revenge on their home floor with an improved roster? This is sure to be one of the best NBA games next season.

Best in the West (November 1st): Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Before last year’s playoffs, the Denver Nuggets were expected to represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals. That changed in the Western Conference Semi-Finals when the Minnesota Timberwolves shocked everyone by defeating the Nuggets in seven games. With Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards inching closer to superstardom every day, the Timberwolves seem like they will be contending for the foreseeable future. Conversely, the Nuggets are looking to re-establish themselves as the best team in the West. Superstar Nikola Jokic is coming off a successful Olympics, leading Serbia to a bronze medal, and is the reigning MVP. Jamal Murray was not 100% healthy during last year’s playoff matchup, so everyone should tune in to this playoff rematch to see who will reign supreme.

Christmas Classic (December 25th): Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors

Some might think that championship contention is a thing of the past for stars Stephen Curry and LeBron James. The Western Conference has become highly competitive as they’ve aged, and the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers are no longer as dangerous as they once were. Nevertheless, who led Team USA to a gold medal in the Paris 2024 Olympics? None other than Curry and James. They may be old but are still two of the greatest players ever. Add to their legendary rivalry the fact that both of these teams will likely be fighting to stay out of the Play-In Tournament again next season, and we have a recipe for another Christmas classic.

Other Best NBA Games:

New York Knicks @ Boston Celtics (October 22nd): Opening week matchup between two top Eastern Conference contenders.

Dallas Mavericks @ Golden State Warriors (November 12th): Thompson returns to the Bay to play in the arena where he will eventually have his jersey hanging in the rafters.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Los Angeles Clippers (November 6th): Paul George returns to LA after leaving the Clippers for greener pastures in free agency this offseason.
