Stephen Curry
Despite having a high ADP and being selected by many managers in the first round, Stephen Curry posted his second-lowest category league value by just finishing inside the top 25. The only other time he ranked outside the top 15 was in 2019-20 due to an injury limiting him to five games. Now 36 years old, many of his stats declined in 2023-24. Notably, the 10-time All-Star’s numbers in assists and steals were the worst of his career, while his field goal percentage was near the bottom. However, Curry remained elite in threes, free throw percentage, and points. He led the league in three-pointers and averaged the 11th-most points. His availability was another benefit, appearing in 70+ contests for the first time since 2016-17. The point guard made decent contributions in rebounds, steals, and blocks, matching his best record in the latter column. Curry’s worst category was turnovers, but he lost the ball at the second-lowest rate of his career.

Draymond Green
Availability was a significant issue for Draymond Green, as his unsportsmanlike acts caused him to miss chunks of the year. He was handed two suspensions after he put a player in a headlock and hit another, consequently missing 17 games. While his stats weren’t eye-popping, the 34-year-old’s ability to provide a little bit of everything allowed him to just finish inside the top 100 in category league value. Green’s leading contributions were assists and rebounds, while his defensive input of about two stocks per game was beneficial. The forward displayed solid efficiency, with most of his attempts coming from around the rim. His free-throw shooting wasn’t as practical, but he’s only shot over 80% from the line once in his career. Turnovers were an issue for Green, and his impact in threes and points was minimal, as he’s not known as a scorer.

Chris Paul
Chris Paul’s role on the Warriors was heavily debated heading into 2023-24. He ended up coming off the bench for the first time, only starting 18 games. As a result, his category fantasy ranking significantly dropped from the previous season, barely staying within the top 100. According to Basketball Monster, Paul’s 97th finish was also the worst of his career. Ultimately, the 39-year-old’s value is decreasing as his time in the NBA nears an end. This past season was the first time he averaged single-digit points, and his numbers in most of the nine main categories ranked near the bottom of his career stats. The point guard could still be counted on for some playmaking, steals, and low turnovers. His shooting percentage from the charity stripe was better than from the floor, but he didn’t get to the line often. Likewise, threes, rebounds, blocks, and points were also weak spots for him.

Klay Thompson
For the first time since his rookie year, Klay Thompson failed to rank inside the top 75 in category leagues and came off the bench for some stints in February and March. However, despite his decreased production, some managers hesitated to let the four-time NBA champion go, likely due to name value. Thompson’s fantasy impact was limited to a few categories: threes, free throw percentage, points, and low turnovers. The guard/forward led the league in free throw percentage and ranked fifth in three-pointers. Aside from these categories, his impact across the rest of the board was minimal. He was never known as a big playmaker or rebounder, but Thompson’s numbers in the defensive categories have decreased over the years. His conversion rate from the field was also lacklustre, and he’s never shot above 50% from the floor.

Jonathan Kuminga
Jonathan Kuminga’s third year pro was filled with new personal bests and was his first time ranking inside the top 200 in fantasy. He averaged career highs in all nine main categories (including turnovers) except for threes. He started his most games yet, but his role fluctuated between the first line and the bench. As a result, reports of Kuminga’s unhappiness with his role and minutes in Golden State surfaced. But this appeared to dissolve near the end of the season as the 21-year-old stated he wanted to be a Warrior for life. Despite the improvements to his game, Kuminga’s numbers didn’t stand out in any particular category. His efficient field goal percentage was most valuable, and his stats in turnovers, points, rebounds, and blocks were decent. The forward wasn’t a reliable source of assists or steals, but he lacked most in free throw percentage and threes. Although, he converted over 70% of his foul attempts for the first time.
