2025 Combo guard Adrien Stevens will make his college choice early this afternoon after cutting his school list down to four, according to Jaime Shaw of On3. According to Shaw, Stevens is currently deciding between Marquette, Notre Dame, Villanova, and Georgetown.

The Potomac (MD) native is slated to choose at 1:30 pm (ET) on 247Sports Television. He previously announced a top 6 that also includes Florida State and Tennessee.
2025 Combo Guard Adrien Stevens Expected to Choose Big East Program Over 3 Other Finalists
Stevens is a strong 6-4 195-pound guard who can play the one and two and impact both ends of the floor. He is at his best when making plays at the rim, whether in the halfcourt or transition. Defensively, Stevens can lock down opposing guards while being capable of defending in the post.
Stevens burst on the recruiting scene last season at Bullis School and led the Bulldogs to a school-best 27-3 mark. The Interstate Athletic Conference POY and first-team All-Met (DC) selection averaged 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals. He then produced a solid summer campaign with 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 steals on 41.6 FG% and 33.8 3PT% on the UAA Next Circuit.

Stevens is a big-bodied two-way guard with good size at 6-foot-4 and a strong, 195-pound frame. Offensively, he’s at his best when attacking off the bounce. He’s very dangerous with the ball in the open court, but also has a knack for instinctively making his way through traffic in the half-court. He has the strength and physicality to absorb contact and maintain his angle on the way to the rim, and has started to show more potential to make plays for others as a passer off the dribble. He’s also willing to take smaller guards into the mid-post and exploit mismatches there. Stevens is a capable three-point shooter with room and rhythm, having converted 35% of his attempts from behind the arc in UAA play, but not yet quite as consistent when shooting on the move, with a release point that can drift to the left side of his head.
Defensively, Stevens has the potential to be a real difference maker as his size, strength, and movement skills allow him to guard multiple positions and push opposing handlers off their spots, while he also has a really good nose for the ball . Long-term, he has a chance to develop into a real stopper on that end of the floor. He’s also a very good perimeter rebounder, who averaged 4.5 boards per game in UAA play, and loves to start the break himself.
Stevens Recruitment
Stevens holds 20 scholarship offers. He is a consensus three-star recruit and considered a top 160 player in the class. 247Sports rates him the highest with four stars, while ESPN and On3 give him three stars.
Even though four programs are still in the mix for Stevens, Big East rivals Marquette and Villanova appear to have the upper hand. However, the favorite for his services, per On3, has changed over the last month. After Virginia was considered the early favorite, Marquette took over, but Nova took a slight lead momentarily.
Marquette became the overwhelming favorite earlier this month after On3’s Joe Tipton made his choice, and now the Golden Eagles have a 94.1% chance of securing their recruitment. Villanova is given a 2.1% chance, while Georgetown and Notre Dame are considered a long shot.
“I’m looking for a school that just shows support, really,” Stevens told 247Sports DuShawn London about his recruitment. “I’m looking for who I have the best relationships with. I feel like that shows how important I am to that school and that I’m a priority.

Marquette Golden Eagles
Marquette offered Stevens on Aug. 6, 2023. Stevens took an official to Marquette’s campus last October.
“Marquette’s been recruiting me the hardest for the longest. They’re there because they believe in me and I know they believe in me as a player, student and person. I just feel like they’ve shown that belief and it’s been consistent.”
“I have a great relationship with coach smart and the rest of the staff. They’ve done a great job recruiting me and getting to know my family. I have a true belief that they believe in me as a player and also a person. Great opportunity there.”
Marquette has three commitments from the class of 2025, led by consensus top-100 player Nigel James. Ian Miletic and Michael Phillips are the other two players to make a pledge to the Golden Eagles.
Villanova Wildcats
Villanova has no commits for 2025. The Wildcats offered Stevens last September.
“Villanova has been there for a while. I feel like it’s another school with a good opportunity to get a great education and play basketball. They’re not too far from home and have a strong alumni base. Coach [ Kyle] Neptune is getting the program back to what it was before he was there and the coaching staff and players believe in him. It’s a two-way road with the belief so that’s why they’re an option.”
“Villanova is a program with a lot of history and a track record of great players that love to get after it on both sides of the floor, like me. The way they play is very similar to something I can see myself in. Coach Neptune and his staff are very intentional about looking for Villanova guys and they have those guys there this year and are looking to get back to what they are used to, winning, so is a great opportunity there for me.”
Georgetown Hoyas
Georgetown has one hard commitment from 6-8 power forward Jayden Fort. Hoyas are the last team to offer Stevens on July 8.
“They came in pretty late, but I feel like sometimes those are things that you have to look past. They provide a great opportunity even though they came in late. It’s a great opportunity to get a great education and play basketball at the highest level in the Big East.”
“Georgetown is a great school and their staff has done a great job of building a relationship with me recently. It’s hard to look past the proximity to home and the culture that Coach [Ed] Cooley is starting to build. They have some guys there now that are bought in to winning and will become a great program in the near future.”
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Notre Dame does not have any commits for 2024. The Fighting Irish offered him in January.
“It’s another great opportunity to get a great education and play basketball in the ACC. They have a strong alumni base and great staff overall. It was Coach [Micah] Shrewsberry’s first year last year and he’s looking to get his program rolling in the right direction in the next couple of years.”
“Notre Dame has been recruiting me for a while and I have a good relationship with coach Shrewsberry and the rest of the staff. The way they play, his coaching style, and his experience is something I could see being beneficial for me in the future.”
