How much weight are we putting on the recency bias from Michigan State, despite the line-setters in Vegas giving them a ton of credit only making this line four points? Towards the end of the season, the Spartans did not look like a team that was going to make any noise in the tournament, with multiple bad losses to non-tournament teams.
They may have looked exceptional in the Round of 64, but I think I see that coming to an end against North Carolina in this matchup, a matchup where the Tar Heels have significant advantages in both size and athleticism. Michigan State really doesn’t have anyone who can contain Armando Bacot effectively, and First Team All-American R.J. Davis should also be able to feast for the Tarheels in this game.
This is going to be a tough game for Michigan State to triumph in. Give me UNC in this one easily.
