The Tar Heels are one of the most balanced teams in the country, ranking in the top 20 on both sides of the floor, highlighted by their seventh-ranked defense.
The Spartans do a great job locking in defensively (6th), but their offense isn’t up to par compared to North Carolina.
This should be an interesting matchup because Michigan State likes to slow down the pace (305th), but North Carolina prefers to play more uptempo (56th).
The Spartans have excellent ball movement, ranking 27th in assists per game, while the Tar Heels come in at 95th. For Michigan State to pull off the upset, they’ll have to continue moving the ball well while limiting turnovers (31st).
