Colgate triumphed over the rest of the Patriot League Conference, but don’t expect them to be a candidate to upset Baylor in this first round matchup. The Bears are one of the deepest teams in the NCAA Tournament, and teams would be unwise to take them lightly just because they’ve had some injury issues late in the season.

The Bears are the much better team in this matchup, but Colgate could be a tough out, as they play at a slow pace similar to Baylor and have a tremendous defensive efficiency. The Raiders play very conservatively, so don’t expect them to foul much and play at a fast tempo, unless they are in absolute desperation mode.
Baylor will play somewhat similarly, but has a massive advantage in talent on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball and for their credit, have the better shooting team as well. Look for this to be tight at the beginning, but for Baylor to pull away down the stretch and win this game inside of 15 points.
Colgate should still be able to cover if they can keep this game in the 60s.
