Tennessee has held opponents to just 31.4% shooting from deep in one of the most complete seasons on defense of any team in the field. With that, it should absolutely suffocate a team that struggles to score and deny a sequel here.
The best thing going for the Peacocks is their palatable defense and ability to force turnovers with the press. Still, the Vols have been one of the most careful teams in the country, ranking 36th-best in turnover rate on offense, and they’ve also hung crooked numbers on much better defenses than they’ll see on Thursday, notably running up over 90 points against Auburn.
