NBA News: 2024 Celebrity All-Star Game Participants

The kickoff event for All-Star Weekend will once again be the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. The two head coaches will be ESPN’s First Take analysts Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A. Smith.

Sharpe’s coaching staff will include Peyton Manning and 50 Cent, two of the best to ever do it in their respective crafts. WNBA superstar A’ja Wilson and legendary rapper Lil’Wayne will be part of Stephen A.’s coaching staff.

Team Shannon Pro Athletes:

Micah Parsons

Fresh off the heels of a disappointing loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card, the Dallas Cowboys star will look to excel in a different sport when he suits up for his first Celebrity All-Star game. The edge rusher had another stellar year for the Cowboys, registering 14 sacks in 2023. Parsons played varsity basketball at Harrisburg High School in Pennsylvania.

Conor Daly: 

Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Conor Daly will take his talents to the hardwood as he will represent Team Shannon.

Jewell Loyd

Loyd was the 2014-15 ESPN’s women’s college basketball Player of the Year at Notre Dame. She was drafted with the #1 pick by the Seattle Storm in the 2015 WNBA Draft.

Kai Cenat: 

Cenat is one of the most popular Twitch streamers in America, with 8.9 million followers. He is known for hosting live streams with celebrity guests, as well as being part of the successful YouTube content creator collective of AMP.

Anuel AA: 

Anuel AA is one of the most prominent figures in Latin rap. He previously participated in the 2022 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, representing Dominique Wilkins’ team.

Lilly Singh: 

Originally starting her career on YouTube, Singh’s rise to fame has seen her become a popular actress and comedian. The Canada native currently has 14.4 million subscribers on YouTube.

SiR: 

SiR is an R&B singer currently signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. His latest album, Chasing Summer, charted at #64 in the US Billboard 200 charts.

Quincy Isaiah: 

Isaiah is the star of HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, in which he portrayed Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Unfortunately, the show was not renewed for a third season.

Dylan Wang: 

Wang is a Chinese actor best known for his work as Daoming Si in the hit Chinese TV show Meteor Garden.

Walker Hayes: 

Hayes is a country singer, with popular hits such as “Fancy Like” and “AA”.

Team Stephen A. Pro Athletes

CJ Stroud

The second NFL athlete on this list, Stroud led the Houston Texans to their first playoff appearance since 2019. The quarterback is expected to win the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Metta Sandiford-Artest

The only former NBA player on either roster, Sandiford-Artest won the 2010 NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. In 2004, he won the Defensive Player of the Year, as well as being named an All-Star. Originally Ron Artest, he changed his name to Metta World Peace in 2011.

Natasha Cloud

Natasha Cloud is a 2019 WNBA champion who currently represents the Phoenix Mercury. In 2022, she led the WNBA in assists and was named to the All-Defensive First Team.

Jass is a popular basketball YouTuber with over 5.3 million subscribers, and he will be certainly be one of the most skilled players on the court.

Jack Ryan: 

Ryan is a legendary streetball player, having been featured in SLAM Magazine and the New York Times. He recently appeared in Netflix’s Losers.

Jennifer Hudson: 

A legendary singer and actress, Hudson is the youngest woman to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony award.

AJ McLean: 

McLean is a member of the Backstreet Boys, a popular early 2000s pop group. The group, headlined by Justin Timberlake, released hits such as “Everybody” and “I Want It That Way”

Kwame Onwuachi: 

Onwuachi is a highly recognized Nigerian-American chef. In addition to appearing on season 13 of Top Chef, Onwuachi was named as part of Forbes’ 30 under 30: Food & Drink list in 2017.

Adam Blackstone: 

Blackstone is a talented musician, director, and producer who is currently the musical director for Nicki Minaj and Justin Timberlake.

Gianmarco Tamberi: 

Tamberi is a highly-successful Italian high-jumper, having won a gold medal for Italy at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
