Best NBA Player Props, Bets, and Predictions for January 12, 2024

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (1) shoots against the Philadelphia 76ers in overtime at State Farm Arena.

It’s Friday, and the work week has finally come to a halt. The NBA has given us a nine-game slate to sit back and watch. I will provide a few NBA player props based on favorable trends and matchups. Go ahead and grab your snacks, find your favorite spot in front of the television, and relax. It’s time to get comfortable and watch the games while making a few bucks at the same time.

Best NBA Player Props, Bets, and Predictions for January 12, 2024

Jaden Ivey Over 18.5 Points (-120)

Cade Cunningham will again be out for the Detroit Pistons, who continue to struggle to win games. The opportunity has come back around for Jaden Ivey to hold a starting position for Detroit once again. He has flourished since returning to the starting lineup. Ivey has covered this player prop in his last two games. He has also cleared this line in the last five games where he has seen 30 or more minutes of playing time. Ivey has been aggressive offensively with Cunningham out and had 19 points against the Houston Rockets on New Year’s Day. He has to and will be the engine for this Detroit offense to keep it moving and competitive.

Alperen Sengun Over 38.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)

Alperen Sengun has covered this line in seven out of his last 11 games and now faces the worst team in the league in the Pistons. Detroit gives up the sixth most points and the third most assists per game to the center position. Alperen covered this player prop the last time he faced Detroit on the first day of 2024. Sengun had 25 points in the second half against the Chicago Bulls in his last game and was recently named Western Conference Player of the Week. Hopefully, he will not get off to such a slow start this game as he will face an inferior opponent.

Jalen Johnson over 16.5 Points (-130)

The Atlanta Hawks will face the Indiana Pacers, who play with the fastest pace in the league, creating more possessions and scoring opportunities. The Pacers give up the most points in the league to the power forward position, which Jalen Johnson will likely start as for the Hawks. He has cleared this line in three of his last five matches, including back-to-back home games. He has averaged 19.5 points and 11.7 rebounds in his previous six games. The rebound stat is key due to the Pacers’ pace. This game will have many shot attempts, allowing Johnson to get offensive boards for putbacks or defensive rebounds to start the fastbreak for the Hawks. He should use his athleticism and speed to get easy buckets in transition.

Now, we have the picks to go along with the chips. I hope you all enjoy the games. As always, best of luck with your bets and please remember to bet responsibly. Until next time, let the games begin and let your slips cash in and out.
