NBA Trade Rumors: Jaylen Brown and Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal and Jaylen Brown are the newest names to come up in NBA trade rumors. Many teams could be interested in them. The Boston Celtics are coming off a disappointing season and are currently looking to take that next step, while also keeping their young core together. After losing Kyrie Irving and Al Horford in free agency, the Celtics are desperate for another piece to help them contend.

Jaylen Brown Trade Rumors

Rumors have been going on for a while about Beal being traded, especially to Boston. Recently, with Brown declining a four-year $80-million extension, it’s looking like he could be on a different team by the start of next season, if not sooner. With Brown being a good young player that could contribute to any team, in a short time he could be a hot commodity on the trade market.

Teams like the Washington Wizards are certainly interested. The aging John Wall is currently out for the season, and won’t be contributing. Beal isn’t sure about signing an extension, and could leave when his contract is up. The Wizards could gain a great young piece in Brown, thus getting value back from Beal. The Wizards already have Rui Hachimura, Thomas Bryant, Troy Brown, and other young pieces, so Brown would fit in great. For the Celtics, they could use Beal for his great scoring ability to pair with Kemba Walker.

Another team that could be included in a deal for Brown is the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves have had a rather disappointing last few years. With Jimmy Butler requesting a trade last season, and Andrew Wiggins showing little improvement, it’s looking like the Timberwolves might be looking to press the reset button once again. They aren’t looking like they can improve that much, and with Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns both having massive contracts, it doesn’t look like they can sign a big time free agent either. The Celtics are looking to surround the trade around Towns, which could help them out by giving them that other all-star they’ve been looking for.

Bradley Beal to the Heat

Last year the Wizards announced that everyone was open to trade, including Wall and Beal. They were only able to trade Otto Porter, but things could be different this year. This year is anyone’s’ year, and one change could be the difference between making the Finals and losing in the second round. Now that Wall is out for the season, and Beal is tentative on signing an extension, it’s looking like a good time to make some trades. The Miami Heat are looking like they could do well in the playoffs this year with the addition of Butler. A scorer to take some of the pressure of Butler would be extremely helpful for the Heat. Any one of these trades could shake up the NBA entirely, but that’s what makes it so interesting.
