According to Adrian Wojnarowski, sharpshooter Kyle Korver has agreed to a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. The 38-year-old veteran is taking his talents back to the East.
The Bucks initially were pursuing J.R. Smith, as the guard met with the team on Thursday to make a deal. Apparently, that deal seems to be ruled out with the signing of Korver. The Bucks finished the regular season 60-22, which was the best record in the NBA.

Korver had a tough decision between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Bucks, as both teams offered him deals. The biggest factor that led him to sign with Milwaukee was his relationship with head coach Mike Budenholzer. Budenholzer spent five seasons as the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks. During his time there, the Hawks made five consecutive playoff appearances.

Korver played four-plus seasons under Budenholzer in Atlanta, where he became an All-Star in 2015.
Adding Korver to the Bucks was a no brainer, as Korver is easily accustomed to Budenholzer’s coaching style and strategy.

Korver on the Milwaukee Bucks will evaluate their offense and three-point shooting tenfold. Milwaukee was the third-best three-point shooting team last season, shooting 48 percent from beyond the arc.
Korver has been one of the most accurate three-point shooters in his generation. In his 16-year NBA career, he has shot 43 percent from three and has led the league in three-point pointing four times. Korver has also played in 135 career playoff games.
While big men like Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez have shown the league how great they are from three, adding Korver to the lineup can help stretch the floor and allow the big men to do more in the post.
Last post-season, Milwaukee used three-point shooting to their advantage to win big-time games. Now with Korver on the roster, the Bucks are back on track to take over the East next season.
